Last week our Program Assistant, Poppy Smith attended the 35th Anniversary Celebration of the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. They have been proudly serving hungry and homeless New Yorkers since 1982. No obstacle has ever proven to stand in their way and they have been serving 1,000 meals each and every day to those in need since their establishment.
The celebration was enjoyed by all, with guests treated to three beautiful and evoking performances by The Edward Morgan Ballet. The evening culminated in guests joining in with the dancers to help celebrate together.
We were honored to be part of this celebration as the church not only supports the hungry but our program also, which strives to help refugees, political asylees and immigrants from all over the world.
